Great question! Midwives are trained in basic gynecology care and family planning. I have extensive additional training.
Midwives can order labs, prescribe medications and can practice independently in all states except Georgia, Nebraska and North Carolina.
Midwives have unique training with an emphasis on education, counseling, and partnership over hierarchy that compliments sexual and hormonal health. -

Insurance reimbursements don’t allow us to spend enough time on your care. We can give you a superbill to submit to your insurer for reimbursement and/or you can use HSA funds for your visits. Your insurance should cover certain services we provide such as:
Labs (except for some specialty labs)
Prescription medications (though off-label medications unfortunately may not be covered by insurance). We do not do prior authorizations.
Referrals to in-network specialty providers including pelvic/vulvar pain experts, pelvic floor therapists, sex therapists, etc.

We are a niche consultancy based practice providing specialty care. For your pap test, well-visits, and other concerns or complications, we ask that you have an established GYN provider.
We believe in multi-disciplinary care. We have a list of excellent expert MDs, PTs and therapists for issues that may arise that are beyond our scope of practice. We do not hesitate to make referrals as needed.
We can refer you to a GYN provider if you need one.

Yes! But… The term “bioidentical” is a marketing term and largely rejected by the medical community. We prescribe FDA-approved pharmaceutical products that are molecularly identical to those your body produces, including testosterone progesterone and estrogen. We generally avoid synthetic hormones.
Sometimes products are not available through a regular pharmacy, or precise doses are needed, in which case we use compounded products through trusted pharmacy partners.
We do not provide pellet therapy.
All therapy decisions are made in partnership with you after detailed discussions of risks, benefits and potential side effects. -
