Services

  • Comprehensive and holistic approach for all ages. We treat:

    • Decreased libido

    • Blunted arousal response

    • Pain with sex

    • Orgasmic issues

    • Communication and relational issues

Tools include medications, hormones, education and resources.

  • Testosterone is not a “male” hormone. All bodies make more testosterone than estrogen. Testosterone levels peak in your early 20s.

Many factors affect your testosterone levels including common medications, genetics and age.

Testosterone supplementation can increase energy, bone density, muscle mass, elevate mood and cognition, and of course, increase libido.*

*There are not good quality studies to support testosterone benefit in women (due to lack of funding/research in women’s health and sexual health) but there is abundant anecdotal evidence.

  • The shift from fertile years to perimenopause causes significant changes to ovarian function and big hormone swings. The menstrual cycle changes. Night sweats and sleep disturbance begin. Irritability and mood changes are common.

Hormonal support can help “smooth the edges”. It’s not necessary to wait for menopause to start HRT.

  • Just as puberty transitions us from childhood to adulthood, menopause takes us officially to middle-adulthood. In a culture where youth is currency, it can be difficult to accept the significant changes to our body and mind. At the same time, menopause can be powerfully positive. It’s a time to take stock and re-evaluate. Are we where we want to be in the second half of life? With the wisdom of life experience, maybe we take more risks, speak or mind and discover new sources of confidence.

Natural estrogen and progesterone in the form that your ovaries make naturally (not synthetic) can ease brain fog, support bone density and sleep, and alleviate symptoms like night sweats. While there are plenty of good reasons to start hormone therapy, it’s not for everyone. We don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach.
